Trisodium phosphate (sodium phosphoric acid trisamisheni) is a white or yellow or rye coloured crystalline mass. It is obtained by neutralisation of phosphoric acid in series with soda and caustic soda.
Trisodium phosphate is used in power engineering, pulp and paper industry, food industry, in production of synthetic detergents and cleaning agents, as a surfactant in cement production and well drilling, in drilling muds as a complex polymer additive to low-grade clays and powders, as well as for technical purposes (washing of technological equipment, degreasing of surfaces, etc.) in many industries.
Trisodium phosphate is used for washing and degreasing of equipment made of corrosion-resistant to alkaline solutions materials, for manual and mechanised cleaning of smoking chambers in meat and fish industry, for washing and degreasing of dishes at catering enterprises, for treatment of circulating glassware, containers, conveyors and bottling lines, walls and floors of production and household premises in any industries.
In the energy industry it is used for washing pipelines and for water treatment, it is used in the pulp and paper industry as a paper bleaching agent. And in machine-building, machine-tool industry it is used everywhere where degreasing or preparation of surfaces for further processing (painting, electroplating, etc.) is required.
Trisodium phosphate is fire and explosion safe, has alkaline properties, in terms of impact on the body belongs to the substances of the 2nd class of hazard.
Universality of the sphere of application of trisodium phosphate makes it an irreplaceable and effective agent in industry.
