Information
Soda ash (sodium carbonate) is a salt of sodium and carbonic acid and is a widely used chemical product. Soda ash is a solid substance that is usually produced in the form of a white powder.
Aqueous solutions of soda ash have an alkaline reaction. Soda ash is produced in grades A (granular) and B (powdered).
Soda ash of grades A and B is used in the production of all types of glass, including crystal, optical and medical glass, glass blocks, foam glass, soluble sodium silicate, ceramic tiles in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy: for the production of lead, zinc, tungsten, strontium, chromium, for desulphurisation and dephosphation of cast iron; it is used in the purification of gases released into the atmosphere and is used in the neutralisation of media.
For the production of electric vacuum glass, we use sodium carbonate of grade A with a strictly standardised particle size distribution.
Sodium carbonate grade B is used in the chemical industry for the production of synthetic detergents and fatty acids, in brine purification, in the production of phosphorus, chromium, barium, sodium salts as carbonate-containing raw materials, in manufacturing; it is also used in the pulp and paper, aniline paint and varnish, and oil industries.
